pien studios at shop amomento

For three days in October 2023, Pien Studios took up residence at Shop Amomento's main store in Seoul. For this visit we developed a series of hand-knitted tapestries, each one carrying letters which together spelled: Shop Amomento, made by hand, stitch by stitch, as a kind of quiet dedication to the space and the people behind it.
The tapestries grew from a practice Pien returns to often, small woven textiles made to slow down, to observe the season, to find what comes next.Seoul had already become a city close to the Pien Studios world, a place where the work had found its people, something that only deepened through years of collaborating with Shop Amomento. Those three days became a chance to finally meet that community in person.
